Hi, I'm Leah! I completed my birth doula training in 2017 and have had the privilege of supporting more than 30 births. As the mom of two teenagers, I know that no two birth stories are alike, and every family deserves compassionate, individualized support.
My passion for birth work began during my VBAC in 2011. I still remember the moment my doula walked into the room, introduced herself to the nurse, and the atmosphere completely shifted. I felt calmer, more supported, and more confident. In that moment, I knew I wanted to be that presence for other families.
I believe my role isn't to direct your birth it's to help you feel confident navigating it. By providing evidence-based information, continuous support, and a calm, reassuring presence, I strive to help you feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout your journey. Whether your birth goes exactly as planned or takes an unexpected turn, I'll be by your side so you never have to face it alone.
It would be an honor to support you as you welcome your baby and begin your own unique birth story.

My name is Neicy Palmer, and I am a birth and postpartum doula based in Birmingham, Alabama. Originally born and raised in sunny South Florida, I moved to Birmingham through a job transfer and to be closer to family.
My journey to becoming a doula is deeply personal. I am a mother to one child, and although I always imagined having more children, life had a different plan for me. During my own pregnancy, I was blessed with a supportive village that surrounded me with encouragement, care, and reassurance. That experience stayed with me, and I knew I wanted to give that same sense of support back to other mothers and families.
Every mother and every family deserve to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. I believe your birth experience is uniquely yours, and my role is to support you without judgment while helping you feel confident and empowered in your choices.
As a doula, I bring a calm and reassuring presence to the birth space. I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support, honoring each family & individual needs, preferences, and birth experience. Whether you are preparing for your first baby or adding another little one to your family, I am here to walk alongside you and help you feel supported every step of the way. My hope is that every mother I serve knows that her voice matters, her choices matter, and she does not have to walk this journey alone

Hello, I’m Leshia, a Birth and Postpartum Doula. My journey to becoming a doula began with my own birth experience. I know what it feels like to be unheard and left out of decisions surrounding your own care. Over the years, I heard similar feelings from other birth parents and decided to become a doula to become the kind of support I wish I had, and to help create a more positive and empowering experience for others. Bringing a baby into the world is one of the most vulnerable and transformative times in a person’s life. I believe every birth parent deserves to feel respected, heard, informed, and supported, and to be an active participant in their own care.
As a doula, I provide compassionate emotional, physical, and informational support while helping families prepare for labor, explore their options, communicate their preferences, and make informed decisions that feel right for them and their baby. My guiding philosophy is simple: “If you don't know your options, you won't have any.” It is truly an honor to walk alongside families during such a meaningful and transformative chapter of their lives, and I would be honored to support yours too!
